Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These terms govern access to and use of the ecash payment network by merchants, partners, and consumers. By onboarding, integrating, or transacting on the network you accept these terms.

1. Definitions

  • "ecash" — the licensed payment service provider operating the payment network described on this site.
  • "Merchant" — a business accepting payments through ecash checkout, payment links, QR, or API.
  • "Consumer" — an end user paying a merchant or using the ecash wallet.
  • "Services" — payment gateway, digital wallet, QR payments, payment links, settlement, and the developer API.

2. Eligibility and onboarding

Merchants must be legally registered, provide accurate documentation, and pass compliance and sanctions screening. ecash may decline, suspend, or terminate an account where regulatory or risk requirements are not met.

3. Merchant obligations

  • Sell only lawful goods and services and display accurate pricing in SYP.
  • Publish refund, delivery, and contact information visible to consumers before payment.
  • Protect credentials and API keys; ecash is not liable for losses caused by disclosed keys.
  • Cooperate with fraud, chargeback, and regulatory investigations.

4. Fees and settlement

Fees are those published on the pricing page or agreed in your merchant agreement. Settlement occurs on the cycle stated for your plan, net of fees, refunds, and chargebacks, to the bank account registered during onboarding.

5. Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks

Merchants are responsible for their own refund policies. Disputed transactions are handled according to the rules of the relevant bank or card scheme, and disputed amounts may be withheld from settlement while a case is open.

6. Prohibited use

  • Money laundering, terrorism financing, or sanctions evasion.
  • Unlicensed financial services, gambling, or trade in prohibited goods.
  • Testing stolen credentials, card testing, or any attempt to bypass security controls.

7. Service availability

We target continuous availability and publish incident information on our status channel. Scheduled maintenance is communicated in advance. Availability targets do not constitute a warranty of uninterrupted service.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Syrian law, ecash is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Direct liability is limited to the fees paid by the merchant in the three months preceding the event.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic, including the Electronic Transactions Law, the Electronic Signature Law, the Banking Secrecy Law, and Anti-Money Laundering legislation. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Damascus.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes are notified to merchants in advance. Questions: legal@ecash-pay.com.
