Why a licensed wallet matters in Syria
A wallet moves real money, so the licence and the banking connections behind it decide whether your balance is safe and whether you can get it out again. ecash is licensed by the Central Bank of Syria and settles through licensed Syrian banks.
- Central Bank of Syria licence — Resolution No. 844/L.I
- Balances and settlement in Syrian pounds
- Bank-linked top-ups and withdrawals
- Arabic-first app with local support
What the wallet will do
The wallet shares the same rails merchants already use for ecash checkout, so paying a shop and paying online work the same way.
- Scan-to-pay QR at ecash merchants
- Instant person-to-person transfers
- Online payments at Syrian stores
- Top up and withdraw through your bank
- Full transaction history and receipts
- Device-level security and transaction alerts
For merchants: accept wallet payments
Merchants already on ecash will accept wallet payments through the same account, dashboard and settlement reporting — no separate integration, no extra terminal. QR and payment links work from day one.
